| CUSTOMERS' SERVICEABLE BATTERIES STORED UNDER "TRICKLE-CHARGER" |
 Battery , a vital component of the aircraft, requires storing under special conditions, which may not be possible or practical for every operator, throughout the year. The operator, who is unable to meet that demand, may end up with a surprise during battery replacement on the aircraft - a drained battery with a serviceable tag. Batteries have an internal self-discharge whose level depends on the storing conditions and drains the battery , if stored for a long period and/or under adverse conditions. Prima Battery Shop, knowing this nature of the batteries, has initiated a procedure whereby the customer battery is stored under Trickle-Charge. Those customers, who choose to benefit from that service, may leave their processed batteries at Prima, until time comes for battery replacement on their aircraft. Trickle-Charging , which requires calibrated special equipment, is a process where a constant steady current is applied to the battery, with such current being adjusted per the capacity of the battery. |
